The perfect base for walking, bicycling, sightseeing or simply having a few days of complete relaxation.  West Lodge sleeps 6: double bedroom with en-suite, double and twin bedroom share a bathroom.

With a well equipped kitchen and open fire place.

West Lodge is situated at the main entrance to Gelli Aur Country Park, part of the Golden Grove estate. The original encumbents, the Vaughans of Golden Grove, were of royal and noble Welsh lineage, but in 1804 the estate passed to John Campbell, Lord Cawdor of Castlemartin, later 1st Earl Cawdor. In the 1970s the estate was broken up.  West Lodge is now owned by the Golden Grove Trust (set up to restore and preserve the house and landscape) which also owns the mansion, huge fields to the east and the country park.
