1. Why we have a website
We have two main purposes for operating this website: Communication and Awareness Raising
Communication
We use this website to communicate information about our work at Golden Grove and about relevant information that may be of interest to our Community and the wider public. In addition, we maintain a presence on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
Awareness Raising
We use this website to further our ongoing work to conserve and restore Golden Grove, along with its historic gardens, Arboretum and parkland, in providing our Community with the relevant information, advice and support to help them effectively support and promote our work. 
2. What personal data we collect
In order to operate this website, we must process personal data. In all instances, we endeavour to collect the minimal amount of data necessary to achieve our purposes. We use the lawful basis of consent, legitimate interests and compliance with a legal obligation for processing personal data.
We will only collect, store and use the minimum amount of data that we need for clear purposes, including your name, address and email address, and will not collect, store or use data we do not need. The personal data we process is provided to us directly for the purposes for which the individual has given explicit consent.
3. How we use your personal data
We use your personal data to provide regular and relevant Community updates and newsletters. 
We never share your data with third parties for any purposes.

Overall and final responsibility for data protection lies with the Board of Trustees, who are responsible for overseeing activities and ensuring this policy is upheld.

Golden Grove Trust, as a charitable organisation, is committed to ensuring the rights and freedoms of our website users are respected and that you as a data subject are enabled to exercise your rights. Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful basis we rely on for processing this data is your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time.
